Rang 4/5 participated in Forest & Survival Skills this morning with Colwyn Brunton, scout leader of 33rd Derry Ballinascreen scouts. What a brilliant day! Maidin ar dóigh a bhí ann. 😃
The children participated in a forest trail blindfolded to test their other senses, they got lost😉and built a shelter, they used bags to keep warm, they lit a fire 🔥 and made food at the fire and toasted marshmallows. They lastly participated in Archery Skills 🏹. These activities taught the children the essential elements of survival and problem solving in the wilderness to keep safe. An excellent morning.
